Boggy Bayou Festival

This three day festival is held the 1st full weekend in April, except when Easter falls on that date.  In that event the festival is held the last weekend in March.

Family-oriented fun including:  carnival rides, arts and crafts, queen’s pageant, gospel, Cajun and county music, all types of food, egg toss contest, live radio broadcast, and Catholic mass on Sunday morning.

*Festival grounds are located one mile south of Pine Prairie on Heritage Road (Hwy. 1172)*

No pets or ice chests are allowed. Bring your lawn chairs.

FRIDAY, APRIL 9th:

(Admission is $6 per day for age 13 and older; $2 per day for those 12 years and under; and toddlers and infants get in FREE)

1 p.m.    Festival Opens/Carnival Opens

1-5 p.m. Pay One Price for Unlimited Carnival Rides

4 p.m.     Beer Booths Open

5 p.m.     Flag raising ceremony

6:00-9:00 p.m. Shane West

6-10 p.m. Pay One Price for Unlimited Carnival Rides

10 p.m.-midnight – TRAVIS MATTE AND THE KINGPINS

Midnight – Festival Closes

SATURDAY, APRIL 10th:

(Admission is $6 per day for 13 years and older; $2 per day for those 13 years and under; and toddlers and infants get in FREE)

10 a.m.   Festival Opens

Noon       Beer Booths Open

11 a.m.- 1 p.m.  VILLE PLATTE PLAYBOYS

2:00 p.m.  Appreciation Ceremony at Stage

1-5 p.m.    Pay One Price for Unlimited Carnival Rides

2:30-4:30 p.m. Queens Pageant/Crowning of Festival King/Mrs. Boggy Bayou Pageant

5-7 p.m.  PAUL AND PETE

6-10 p.m.   Pay One Price for Unlimited Carnival Rides

8-9:30 p.m.  RONNIE MCDOWELL

10 p.m.-Midnight  Kevin Naquin and the Ossun Playboys

Midnight -   Festival Closes

SUNDAY, APRIL 11th:

(Admission is $3 per day for those 13 years and older; $1 per day for those 12 years and under; and toddlers and infants get in FREE)

10:30 a.m.   Catholic Mass at Stage

11:30 a.m.   Carnival Opens

Noon – Boudin Eating Contest

1 -1:30 p.m. The Messer Family Band (gospel)

1-5 p.m.     Pay One Price for Unlimited Carnival Rides

1:30-2:30 p.m. Pine Prairie’s First Baptist Church Choir

 

3 p.m. Olympic Games (egg toss contest and hula-hoop contests)

5 p.m.    Festival Closes

NOTE:  There will be no beer sold on Sunday!
